Ponds and water features in Celina

Celina counted 16,739 people in 2020 and an estimated 64,427 in 2025, one of the fastest-growing cities around Dallas. Most yards here are new. We clean, repair and build ponds and water features in them.

Staged water rules

Celina runs its water rules in stages. When we read the city's page on November 5, 2026, it listed Stage 2, in effect since July 2, 2026: outdoor watering one day a week on your designated day, none from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and no water use that causes runoff or waste, with lawn fountains named. Under Stage 2 the city also issues no new pool permits.

What that means for a pond

A pond that recirculates its water is not a sprinkler, but filling a new one and starting its plants still takes water. We check the stage in force before we schedule a fill or a refill in Celina, and plan the planting for the days the city allows.

The ground and the town

Celina sits in Collin and Denton counties on blackland clay that shrinks and swells. In 1902 the whole town moved a mile north on rollers to meet the new railroad, which is why it was once called Rollertown.

Our work

The photos on our Texas pages are ponds and water features LCM built and cares for in Colorado. Our Texas work will be shown here as it is finished and the owners agree.

Questions

It depends on the stage in force when the pond is ready. Stage 2 limits watering to one day a week and prohibits water use that causes runoff or waste. Before we fill or refill a pond in Celina we read the current stage, and if the rules allow it only on certain days, we schedule the fill for them.
